CSI Down 12X05

CSI pulled one of their surprise character in trouble episodes that featured the newest CSI, Morgan Brody fighting for survival in a helicopter.

The Case: In the desert a man is found critically injured. A helicopter en route to the hospital is called in to take him, with CSI brody in one of the seats. Somewhere else in Las vegas, Nick finds two D.B's who have been strangled in an apartment. Fingerprint analysis from that crime scene reveals that the guy who left prints in the apartment is flying injured in the helicopter. After a call is put in the Brody, the situation turns deadly. He wakes up and takes a gun from somebody flying in the helicopter. His next move is to have the EMT knocked out on some pretty serious drugs.
Meanwhile on the ground the story unfolds as an estranged daughter/father story. Turns out that the injured man was in deep with the Mad10 a gang which seeks only to enact violence. They have this mans daughter, once he got out of jail he stopped at nothing to get that daughter back. However she came to the police station first. In a twist of events her intentions were actually not all that great. She gave her father a place to land that only the two of them knew about (since he was in a helicopter) and had it reinforced with Mad10 goonies intent on killing him once he landed. Of course this meant trouble for CSI Brody and her father Ecklie.
Of course the CSI's indentified the location and helped Brody before the Mad10 could blow everything to pieces with their automatic weapons.

Favorite Parts of the Episode:

Father Daughter theme: Very personal for the CSI's and it had a good messsage.

Greg's temper: Glad to see some emotion out of him

Ecklie: Glad to see some emotion out of him too

Brody: She had some great scenes this week.

Hodges: I love the scene time hes been getting lately.

I normally don't watch CSI, but I happened to walk through the room while my wife was watching the end of this episode ("her intentions were actually not all that great"). Very powerful ending.
